Job Opportunity: Site Manager – flooring company
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Site Manager to oversee multiple projects across the lower mainland. You would ideally live in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam or Poco. This role is ideal for someone with a flooring or construction background who enjoys a dynamic work environment. Occasional office visits to Chilliwack (1-2 times per month) will be required.
What You’ll Do:
– Site Oversight: Visit job sites daily, update the office via email and ClickUp, and ensure smooth operations.
– Delivery Coordination: Schedule and manage deliveries for materials (tile, flooring, carpet) with site teams and the office.
– Toolbox Meetings: Lead weekly toolbox meetings at each site to ensure safety and clear communication.
– Site Meetings: Participate in weekly site meetings for all active projects.
– Field Management: Enforce field rules and policies, evaluate employee performance, and address on-call tasks and concerns.
– Scheduling & Quality Control: Work with contractors to schedule installs and maintain high-quality standards.
– Training Coordination: Organize and facilitate training for site readiness.
– Safety Compliance: Collaborate with the safety department to ensure a safe work environment.
What You’ll Need:
– Experience: Background in flooring, construction, or a related field.
– Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask under pressure, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and ClickUp.
– Communication: Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Independence: Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and produce accurate documentation.
– Problem-Solving: Ability to manage budgets and resolve performance deficiencies effectively.
